We all know there's a lot of buzz going on right now being that it's the NBA playoffs and a lot of people seem to think Carmelo is MVP material and he seems to be the talk of the town these days. I must say I have a lot of respect for both players, but when it comes down to the bottom line, Carmelo is just not on the Lebron level. I'll let you do the math.
1. Lebron is an all around player, he can and will play every position on the court if need be. His stats for the playoffs alone are: 23 Points per game, 9 Rebounds per game and 8 Assists per game. He literally boarders the triple-double line on AVERAGE.
Certain Lebron loathers like to say silly things like "ball hog", "not clutch", etc. When was the last time you didn't see Lebron pass before he shoots? Obviously we all wanna see him take that important shot, but the fact that he passes as much as he does says A LOT. His stats say it all and just like the old saying goes, 'ball don't lie'!
2. Carmelo is a shooter, a very good one at that. But, being only a shooter does not make you MVP material. His playoff stats are: 35 Points per game, 4 Rebounds per game, 1 Assist per game. See the difference when it comes to athleticism?
Anthony has 0 NBA MVP awards and remember him and Lebron were drafted at the same time...
Lebron has 3 NBA MVP awards, that's not including his Finals MVP in 2012.
I don't need to bring up who has a ring and who doesn't because having a ring or not having a ring doesn't determine your talent, in my opinion.
Bottom line is, Carmelo is talented and has infact come a long way, but I have a problem when Carmelo is put in the same category as Lebron, because he is just in no way there..
